Oklahoma Wesleyan is another team bringing momentum in to the break as they got another sweep on Friday night. Both teams took care of Kansas Christian in a non-conference tune up.

We’ll start with the men’s teams who shot the lights out as they put up 62 first half points. Jake Feickert put on an exhibition from beyond the arc as he knocked down six of eight shots from distance for a team-high 18 points. As a team the Eagles made 14 of 37 three-pointers.

Coach Donnie Bostwick was able to get his bench involved in the second half as OKWU cruised to 103-68 victory.

The women’s team got its sixth consecutive victory behind a phenomenal all-around effort. The Lady Eagles topped Kansas Christian, 92-23.

OKWU charged out to a convincing 26-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back. The defense shined for the Lady Eagles as they never allowed KC to score more than 10 points in a quarter. The Falcons shot just 17% for the game.

It was a balanced effort on the score sheet with Tiffany Rieger leading with 14 points. Mary Hutchins and Sarah Hadjukovich both were in double figures as well. In total 19 Lady Eagles saw the floor.

After the end of the first semester the women’s team is 12-2 and the men’s side is 11-5. Both teams are off until after Christmas.
