It is another first for Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball.

The NAIA officially selected OKWU and the city of Bartlesville as a host for the opening round of the NAIA baseball tournament on Monday afternoon.

That means the Eagles will play in a five-team regional at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium May 15-18, that is a Monday through Thursday. Oklahoma Wesleyan had previously been a one-seed in a regional, but this is the first time they have hosted one. OKWU head coach Matt Parker.

The NAIA postseason baseball tournament consists of nine of those five team regionals, with the winners moving on to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.

Other notable schools hosting this year include Oklahoma City University and fellow conference mate Tabor College.

The KCAC conference tournament is up next on Wednesday. OKWU will be the one-seed for that event, which is in Great Bend, Kansas.
