The Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball team has found quite the groove early in the season. With Tuesday’s midweek win over Friends the Eagles moved to 12-2 on the season and extend their winning streak to seven games.

Veteran slugger Danny Perez has reached base in all but one game so far. Perez has totaled five home runs and 24 runs batted in early on the season. The rest of the Eagles offense is hitting .384 as a team.

OKWU has used a team approach on the mound with seven different pitchers drawing a start through 14 games. No Eagles arm has thrown more 16 innings. The team ERA is at 3.52 currently.

OKWU will not play again until Tuesday, March 9 against Oklahoma City. The Eagles also debuted new uniforms this week featuring the new yellow-gold and blue color scheme.
