The Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles baseball team had its season come to an end on Thursday with a loss to Freed-Hardeman, 4-0. The loss is the second time the Eagles fell in the Upland Regional to the Lions.

The Eagles could not get their bats going with just four hits on the day. This only the second time all season that OKWU has failed to score a run. Chris Acosta-Tapia had two hits one of the day, one of which tried to spark a rally in the ninth inning, but the Eagles could not solve Freed-Hardeman’s pitching.

Jared Gray got the start for the Eagles and gave four runs over five innings. Landon Williams threw the other four innings in relief and gave up one earned run.

This marks just the eighth loss on the season for OKWU as it fell short of its goal of a return trip to the NAIA World Series.
