Numbers Down for Area Football Teams

Zero week of high school football is here, as most teams across Green Country will finally kick off on Friday for their first games on Friday.

KWON hosted all the football coaches across Osage, Washington and Nowata County for our annual prep preview show om Saturday morning. You can listen to the program in its entirety and search for your head coach’s interview online HERE

Playing football has taken a back seat for some high schoolers due to a variety of reasons. Most schools across the area have seen their rosters shrink, as less guys are trying out for the football team.

At Bartlesville High, head coach John McKee has said he is going to take more time to reach out to younger players this year. McKee says football has a lot to offer young men in the state.

Keep it tuned to BartlesvilleRadio.com throughout the week, as we will talk more high school football as Friday approaches.
