It was Northeast Oklahoma's version of Bedlam as the Dewey Bulldoggers traveled 20 miles east to take on the Nowata Ironmen.  It was a clean sweep for both Nowata teams.  Lady Ironmen won 48-34 while the Ironmen picked up a 62-38 victory.

The Lady Ironmen started the game on a 7-0 run and never looked back.  Lady Doggers kept the game close by trailing 25-18 at halftime.  Nowata had a strong third quarter and outscored Dewey 16-4.  Reva Smith led Nowata with 17 points while Kennedy Downing came off the bench and finished with 12 points.  Dewey's Erin Herchock and Karissa Jones led the team with eight points a piece.  Dewey falls to 6-12 while Nowata improves to 10-8 on the year.

Just like the girls game, the boys games was quite similar.  The Ironmen began the game on a 7-0 run and never looked back.  Dewey got within five 16-11, but the Ironmen took advantage of Dewey's poor shooting and led 29-17 at halftime.  Nowata would outscore Dewey 33-21 in the second half and basically took care of business.  Nowata's Michael Velasco was the star of the game as he led with 26 points while Cody Smith added 10 points.  Dewey's Drew Miller led the way with 13 points.  Dewey falls to 11-7 while Nowata improves to 9-9.

Dewey will play at Adair on Friday while Nowata travels to Salina on Friday.
