Nowata Softball Prepares For Upcoming Season

The summer baseball season may be winding down but there is plenty of action on the diamond to look forward to in the fall.

The Nowata Lady Ironmen first took the field last week in preparation for the upcoming season. Katelyn Kearns will start in center field and is expected to be one of the team leaders. The Lady Ironmen will return two other starters from a team that finished near the bottom of the standings last year. Head Coach Homer Johnston is looking forward to evaluating the new crop of talent.

The Lady Ironmen will have two exhibitions contests that will serve as tune ups before the regular season begins with the home opener against Dewey on August 7.
