An area high school hoops battle will take center stage on Tuesday as Nowata hosts Caney Valley. The Ironmen having just two games remaining before it will host Ketchum and Fairland in the district playoffs.

Nowata head coach Gary Hollingshead says he is very pleased that such a young team has played well this season. Nowata holds a 14-5 record on the season.

Caney Valley has managed to keep its record above .500 for the entirety of the season. The Trojans rely on a strong defense that has held opponents under 50 points in nine of its 18 games so far.
