New HS Football Districts 2018-2020

After the new enrollment numbers came out from the OSSAA last week, that means new football districts for the state of Oklahoma.

NewsOk.com is reporting on what the purposed districts would look like. They will not be official until later in August, and the OSSAA did not confirm the proposed districts. Regardless Bartlesville High's east-side 6A-II district will look quite similar to what it has been the past few years, but the Bruins may be adding a district game against Shawnee.

Bartlesville, Booker T. Washington, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, Muskogee, Bixby, Ponca City and Shawnee would be the eight-district teams that would play each other the next two years according to NewsOk.com.

The addition of Shawnee would be the only change for BHS. They are losing Capitol Hill in the district after the OSSAA gave them an exception for the next two years. Of course the confirmed ADM numbers showing that Bartlesville High will stay in 6A-II was welcome news last week to the athletic department. The numbers have a ripple effect across the whole state. Here is Bartlesville Athletic Director Ryan Huff.
