It will be a new season, a new head coach and now new coordinators for the 2018-19 Bartlesville High football team.

Bartlesville head football coach Lee Blankenship spoke on Tuesday afternoon at the Bartlesville Adult Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes monthly luncheon.

Blankenship is in month No. 2 of leading the Bruins. He was hired just before Christmas. Blankenship talked about leading young men as a football coach and how he will gauge his success at Bartlesville High.

Blankenship also announced that he has hired new offensive and defensive coordinators for his first season at Bartlesville.

He is bringing along Cody McDaniel to lead the offensive side of the ball. McDaniel was the offensive coordinator at Beggs under Blankenship.

Jason Sport will lead the defense. He was previously a coach on the defensive staff at Jenks, and had been a defensive coordinator at Sapulpa earlier in his career. Blankenship says he will have his staff finalized before spring football in a couple months.

Ryan Nolan and Terry Reynolds were the offensive and defensive coordinators at BHS this past season under head coach John McKee and interim head coach Kyle Ppool.
