NCF Hosting G.L. Myers Jr. Tournament
A great golf event is coming to Nowata later this month. The Nowata Country Club is hosting the G.L. Myers Jr. Golf Tournament and Dinner on July 13. This event is being put on by the Nowata Community Foundation. Chairman of the NCF Michael Dye talks about why they chose to name the tournament after Myers.
There will be a morning golf session at 9 a.m. and then an afternoon session at 1 p.m. Patriot Buick GMC is offering $25,000 toward the purchase of a new Buick for a hole-in-one on the seventh hole, which is a 170-yard Par 3. Dye says that is a great prize for a difficult achievement.
Registration for the event costs $100, which includes breakfast, lunch and a ticket to dinner event with food from The Painted Horse and live music from The Jaguars. You can also purchase a dinner event ticket separately for $30.
