The Oklahoma Coaches Association all-state games took place this week and there was quite a bit of local flavor—particularly in the small school’s east basketball game. A former local high school star saw some action while a future Oklahoma Wesleyan player stole the show.

Oklahoma Union’s Kade Hollingshed, a two-time state tournament participant got in the game and scored two points off the bench. Hollingshed won over 90 games during his four years at OKU—including going undefeated at home.

Meanwhile, Pawnee graduate Gunnar Gordon lit it up with a game-high 26 points. Gordon knocked down eight three-pointers in the contest. He had previously announced his commitment to OKWU in the spring. Eagles head coach Donnie Bostwick was in attendance at the all-state games.

Despite the solid efforts the east team lost 82-78.
