Loader Looks for Consistency in Copan

The Hornet football program has had a tough couple years, but a true Copan-man might be just the guy to turn things around.

Copan had its previous skipper of two years, Shane Page, resign just last week. The Hornets made the easy choice of promoting longtime assistant Dalton Loader to the head coaching spot.

Loader has been on the staff the past seven years, and helps run the junior high program as well. Loader says he thinks that some consistency at the top of the program could do wonders for Copan going forward.

Copan will be in a co-op with South Coffeyville this season, after the Hornets co-oped with Wesleyan Christian School in 2018. Loader says after spring and summer workouts he thinks the match will be a good one.

He says that the two schools have a bit more in common than Copan had with WCS last year.

The Mustangs are going it alone in 2019 in Class B.
