The Nowata Lady Ironmen announced a new head coach for its program on Tuesday. David Vann, the former Dewey girls head coach will take over the program. Vann will be the team’s fourth head coach in the last four seasons.

Vann announced his resignation from Dewey in March after going 20-28 over the course of two seasons. Vann also has coaching experience at Lawton-McArthur and Tulsa’s Dove Science Academy. He played professional basketball overseas as well.

Vann takes over for Amanda Henderson who spent just one on the Lady Ironmen bench. Nowata took a step forward in the 2019-20 season going 9-15. The Lady Ironmen have a young core that has been building experience for the past two seasons.
