Lady Cougars Stay Alive in Area Tournament

The Oklahoma Union girls’ team remains alive in the 2A Area tournament. The Lady Cougars defeated Warner, 42-37, in the area consolation bracket on Thursday afternoon. This is a nice rebound contest after OKU fell to Chouteau-Mazie in the regional finals last week.

The Lady Cougars will play again on Friday against the winner of Rejoice Christian and Central Salisaw on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Checotah High School. OKU needs two wins to qualify for the state tournament.
