Hopkins First, BHS Second After Day One of State Tournament
The Lady Bruins Golf team put together a great performance in day one of the 6A state tournament at Hillcrest Country Club. As a team BHS shot 336, which was good enough to hold an early lead before Jenks overtook them shooting a 333.

Individually, Faith Hopkins shot an opening round 71 (-1) giving her a multiple shot lead over the rest of the field. Hopkins, an Oklahoma State signee, is on the verge of an individual state championship.
Emma Shelley shot an 84 and Erin Shoemaker posted a score of 86.
Wednesday's performance puts Bartlesville in great shape heading into the final day of the event. The Lady Bruins will tee off around 8:00 a.m. on Thursday morning.
