Both Bartlesville High basketball teams played at the BOK Center in downtown Tulsa on Saturday for the High School Basketball Showcase.

The Bartlesville guys fell to Owasso, while the Lady Bruins won in dramatic fashion over Booker T. Washington.

The Ram guys topped BHS 60-48. BHS trailed by as many as 18 after an Owasso run to begin the second quarter. Bartlesville (8-10) would get back within eight down the stretch, but could get no closer.

On the ladies side, Bartlesville spent most of the game trailing as well. BHS lead early, but trailed throughout the second, third and fourth quarters until just over a minute left in the game, when Chloe Martin nailed a three-pointer to put Bartlesville up by one. Booker T. would answer back on the next possession to take back a one point lead. Then with less than 15 seconds left Jena’ Williams and Erika Gruber hooked up on the game winner.

The Lady Bruins won 55-54. The win keeps Bartlesville’s (14-3) hopes of hosting a regional alive, and gives the Lady Bruins another victory over a ranked opponent.
