Lady Bruins in State on Thursday
The Bartlesville High girls’ basketball team is close to their first State Tournament game in 26 years.
The Lady Bruins will take on Edmond Santa Fe on Thursday night at 7:00 PM. BHS is 26-1 following a two-point win over Shawnee in the 6A Consolation Bracket Finals on Saturday. Bartlesville has struggled shooting the ball a bit over the last couple postseason games. The Lady Bruins scored 34 points on Saturday, after scoring 42 on Thursday of last week.
Those are the two lowest point totals of the year. Edmond Santa Fe is 21-6. The two teams don’t have a lot of common opponents this year. Here is Bartlesville High Athletic Director Ryan Huff.
The Lady Bruins and Edmond Santa Fe will play the opening round game in the 6A Tournament at Tulsa Memorial. BHS is holding a sendoff for the girls going to state on Thursday afternoon at 4:15 in front of the Fine Art’s Center main doors on the south side of the high school.
KWON - AM 1400 and FM 93.3 will carry that game - with pregame around 6:30 PM. Fans traveling to Tulsa can listen in the arena on FM 91.1 on our portable FM transmitter.
