Bartlesville High volleyball is set to enter a new era this fall, as first year head coach Jenn Ward takes over the program after the resignation of longtime head coach Tom Williams this past offseason.

Ward has a tremendous pedigree – having played NCAA Division I volleyball for Pittsburg in college. She was named to the All Big East team from 1993-1996. Her records with Pitt volleyball still include: 1st in solo blocks, 2nd in total blocks and third in block assists. Ward talks about her background in the sport.

Ward had spent 15 years mostly coaching boys’ volleyball in her previous home of Illinois before moving to Bartlesville. She had been involved with the Lady Bruin basketball program at the 8th and 9th grade level since 2014 as a coach. Ward shares her thoughts heading into the first fall practices of 2019.

Ward says numbers of girls out for volleyball is at an all-time high at all different levels of the program.

Bartlesville will begin practice on July 15<span 10px;\"=""> and will have its first game in the early parts of August.
