Lady Bruin Softball Enjoying Cooler Weather

For the most part, the rain has stayed away and the temperatures have been cooler this week, which is great news for the Bartlesville High softball team.

BHS has only a week left until scrimmages start and then 2.5 weeks until actual games in the middle part of August.

The cooler weather has been a welcome change, as the heat wave during the first few practices last week created tough conditions. Minton says he was proud of the energy his club brought despite the humid conditions.

Minton says that scrimmages next week should be vital for position battles. Bartlesville has about 14 or 15 different girls competing for nine starting spots. About four of the positions have been decided already – so several are up for grabs.

Just like volleyball, Lady Bruin softball will begin with games on the week of August 12.
