Lady Bruin Softball Amping Up for Practice

We are just over a couple weeks away from some fall sports practices beginning for high school teams throughout the area.

At Bartlesville High, BHS is working in three new varsity head coaches out of the four posts this fall. Jason Sport in football, Kyle Minton in softball and Jenn Ward in volleyball are all in their first seasons with Bartlesville as head coaches.

In softball, Minton takes over a program which is looking to change some of its culture heading into 2019. Minton had been an assistant on the softball and baseball teams prior to getting the head job in November. He talks about the past few offseason months for Lady Bruin softball.

Minton says he has an interesting mix of players back this fall, with a handful seniors returning as starters mixing with many new pieces that will be counted on to contribute on the varsity level.

We will have more on Lady Bruin softball as the July 15 practice debut approaches.
