Indians Head to Enid on Hot Streak

It was two more wins for the Doenges Ford Indians on Friday afternoon at Oklahoma Wesleyan’s baseball facility, and Bartlesville's summer baseball team is officially on a win streak heading into another busy weekend of baseball in Enid.

Bartlesville won in extras 4-3 in game one, and then run-ruled the Oklahoma Process 9-1 in game two.

William Parsley was the hero in game one for the Tribe, as he provided the walk-off single to take down the Process, a 17-and-under club out of Sapulpa.

It took nine innings to decide a winner. Dakota Ward led off the ninth inning with a triple and Parsley would come up clutch with two outs.

It was a come-from behind effort for the Indians. Parsley also had an RBI fielder’s choice to knot the game up at three in the seventh.

Bradee Rigdon earned the win with three spotless innings of relief. The left-hander racked up eight strikeouts out of the bullpen.

Things were a bit easier in game two, Hayden Fiddler, a Caney Valley Trojan, shut down the Process with five one-run innings. He struck out six in that span. Harald Borg, Rigdon and Andrew Harden all had multiple base hits in the contest.

Bartlesville improved to 6-4 after one week of play and four straight victories. The Indians will take on Enid for four games this weekend. Games will be at David Allen Memorial Park in downtown Enid. Bartlesville will face both the Majors and the Plainsmen over the two days.

First pitch for Saturday's double-header at 5:00 PM and can be heard on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3. Game two should start around 7:30 PM.

Sunday's games will air at 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM and can also be heard on KWON.

Saturday's games will also be available to watch on KWONTV.com.
