Indians Edge Passed Branson
Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians Logan McNeil hit a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to win a 5-4 comeback to Branson Saturday evening in the Winget Tournament. Despite committing five errors, the Indians out hit the Pirates 9-5. Branson scored three of their four runs in the top of the first and a run in the third to take a 4-1 lead. Bartlesville would score two runs in the fifth and two more in the seventh to take care of Branson. Tyler Yardley went the distance and improved his record to 2-2 overall on the mound. In seven innings of work, Yardley gave up four runs on five hits, walked three, and struck out two. Will McDaniel went 3 for 4 with a double and a RBI while Brady Sewell went 2 for 4. Logan McNeil, Bo McSpadden, Bryce Short, and Jacob Ruiz each got a hit.
The Indians are now 16-16 overall and will take on Free State of Kansas Sunday afternoon at 12:30 to wrap up tournament play. Bartlesville needed some help to get into the championship bracket, but that never happened.
