Day No. 2 of the Glen Winget Memorial Baseball Tournament went off without a hitch, as all six games that were scheduled were played on Thursday.

The Doenges Ford Indian’s lost their opener against Ada 11-2 in six innings. Bartlesville will play two more games on Friday to wrap up pool play.

The Indian’s hung in against Ada, in fact they only trailed by one run entering the fourth, but that is when Ada had the flood gates open.

The Braves struck for five runs in the fourth, and then four more in the sixth. Bartlesville answered with one in the bottom half, but could not avoid a run-rule.

Despite only scoring two runs, the Indian’s did manage seven hits against Ada. Cole Ellis had two of them, both doubles. This one in the bottom of the first led to Bartlesville’s first run of the day.

Bartlesville starts out pool play at 0-1. The Indian’s will wrap up the first portion of the tournament on Friday with two games, at 3:00 PM against Shawnee and then 5:30 PM against Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Game one (3 PM) will be on Sports talk 1500 AM and 99.1 FM – KPGM. Game (5:30 PM) will air on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.

With the loss Bartlesville drops to 2-23-1 on the year.
