The Doenges Ford Indians played better on Wednesday night, but could not snap their losing streak, as Bartlesville dropped its fifth game in a row, and game No. 1 in pool play in the AABC Regional Qualifier in Enid.

The Enid Majors again had the Indians number, topped the Tribe 7-3.

Enid slowly pulled away from Bartlesville, with two runs in the second and three more in the third. That gave the Majors a 5-1 lead, and the Indians would never seriously threaten the rest of the game.

Bartlesville managed seven hits, but lacked a big blow, scoring single runs in the first, fourth and sixth. Harrison Clark and Randsom Jones were the only players with multiple hits.

Daniel Barham took the loss on the mound as the Indians starter, Barham went two innings, gave up seven hits and three walks, and skirted out of trouble a couple times.

The Indians tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the sixth, after a triple from Calvin Johnson, Clark got his second base knock of the day to drive in a run.

Bartlesville is now under the gun to make the finals of the event. The Indians will look to get their first win in pool play on Thursday afternoon, as they take on MVP Heath at 2:30.
