Indians Begin Play in Arkansas Thursday

Summer baseball returns to the airwaves this afternoon, as the Doenges Ford Indians made their trip to northern Arkansas on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tribe will get back into regular season action with pool play in Mountain Home starting on Thursday afternoon. The Indians will take on Paragould in game one of the tournament at 3:30 PM.

Bartlesville is 9-2 after its first 11 games of the year, and the trip to Mountain home will mark the midway point of the summer in terms of days. Bartlesville will return home for two double-headers next week before the Glen Winget begins on July 1.

Offense has still been the name of the game for the Indians. The team is hitting .382 with 32 extra base hits in 11 games.

Indian’s manager John Pannell says if you’re only as good as your nine-hole batter, the Tribe is in good shape.

You can listen to Thursday afternoon’s game on Sports Talk 99.1 FM and 1500 AM – KPGM. A live stream also available on KWONTV.com.
