Huskies in Class A Quarters Friday

The Pawhuska Huskies are looking to make back-to-back trips to the semifinals of the Class A state football playoffs. In order to do that, the Huskies are going to have to beat a 12-1 Elmore City-Pernell on Friday night.

The Badgers are a team that Coach Matt Hennesy says will be the biggest and most physical that Pawhuska has seen all season long.

Elmore City-Pernell most recently defeated Burns-Flat 30-8 in their second round matchup and their lone loss of the season came against a Ringling team that is still alive in the playoffs.

In order to escape Elmore City with a win, Hennesy says Pawhuska will have to be disciplined and be patient.

Kickoff from Elmore City is scheduled for 7 p.m. and that is a broadcast we will have for you on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com.

The winner between the Huskies and the Badgers will face the winner of Gore and Woodland in the semifinals next week. Gore and Woodland also kick at 7:00 on Friday night from Gore.
