Both the Bartlesville High basketball teams will be back on the road for two games this week, both clubs will be at Jenks on Tuesday evening for a Frontier Valley Conference double-header.

Both the BHS boys and girls are in desperate need of some momentum heading into the playoffs in less than two weeks.

The Lady Bruins (6-12) and Bruins (1-17) both lost heartbreaking games in the final minutes on Friday during their most recent outings against Muskogee.

The resurgence of junior leading scorer Adam Nakvinda has been key for Bartlesville scoring the basketball better the final couple of weeks. Head coach Clent Stewart says Nakvinda has been letting the game come to him recently.

The final four games of the schedule don’t really provide much a respite. Games at Broken Arrow, at home against Union and then at Owasso round out the regular season.

The Bruin guys will try to find their second victory of the season, BHS has lost 14 straight and is without a win since Dec. 13.

Girl’s tip off at 6:30 with the boy’s around 8:00 on KWON – AM 1400 and FM 93.3.
