Hillcrest Hosts OGA Mid-AM
Hillcrest Country Club was home to a big-time statewide golf tournament earlier this week. Hillcrest hosted the 2022 Oklahoma Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championship. The event is for golfers 25 and older.
On Tuesday Mike Hughett took home the title. He won the event after a three-hole playoff with Austin Schmidt of Tulsa and Harley Abrams of Tulsa, who eagled the 18th to shoot 68 on the event's final day.
There was some Bartlesville flavor in the event. Nathan Coats did better than any other Bartian, shooting a two-round score of 148 to finish in the top-20.
Layne Parham, Brent Taylor, Jim Curd, Shawn Barker, Zac Henderson and Preston Bartley also competed in the event, which ran Monday and Tuesday in Bartlesville.
