Golf City Champion Crowned
A familiar name stood out amongst the hot weather this past weekend at Adam's Golf Club.
A city champion was crowed on Sunday afternoon during the Dinks Pitt BBQ City Championship. Congrats to Nathan Hughes, who won the event with back-to-back 67s on Saturday and Sunday.
Hughes’ overall 134 was seven strokes better than the second place finisher Andrew Lehman, who shot a 141. Lehman battled his way back into the tournament with a second round 68. He shot a 73 on day one.
Hughes is a previous winner of the event, as well. He was a star golfer at Bartlesville High School and went on to play NCAA D-I golf at UMKC. Spencer King took third place. He had back-to-back 71s along with the Senior Champion…. Geno Herren who also shot a 142 over the course of the last two rounds to capture that title.
Dinks Pitt BBQ has sponsored the Men’s City Championship for more than a quarter century, which is held at Adams Golf Club each summer.
