Game Week for High School Football
It is game week across Northeast Oklahoma, as most high school and college teams we cover will be in action at some point this weekend.
We will have full run downs of all games throughout the week.
Here is the full schedule:
There will be two area battles on zero week to begin the season, as Barnsdall travels to Caney Valley and Nowata goes to Oklahoma Union. Elsewhere, Copan/South Coffeyville will begin the year at home against Webber Falls. Dewey is at home against Adair. Pawhuska will host Kellyville and Wellston travels to Wesleyan Christian.
Barnsdall has one of the most interesting storylines heading into 2019, as the Panthers are coming off a near miss of the 2018 playoffs, but have several returning skill players with multiple years of experience. Kylee Sweeney is back for year No. 4 of leading the Panthers, and he highlights a few of the big names that are back.
Barnsdall is back in the same district as Pawhuska again, Class A District 5. It is a nine-team district.
