Just three days ago, the Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians beat Ft. Smith to win the Glenn Winget Memorial Tournament.  On Thursday, the Indians traveled to Ft. Smith and got swept by the scores of 18-0 and 1-0.

The first game wasn't that close as the Sportsmen dominated from start to finish.  Ft. Smith jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning, and then scored three in the second, six runs in the third, and four runs in the fourth.  Bartlesville was out hit 13-3 and committed six errors.  Josiah Gott took the loss on the mound to drop to 2-1 on the year.  Sam Walker, Dustin Weisenbach, and Bryce Short each got a hit.

In the second game, it came down to a pitchers duel between Logan McNeil and Ft. Smith's Hunter Pouge.  The Sportsmen's only run came in the bottom of the fourth on a RBI single by Tyler Jones. Although the Indians out hit Ft. Smith 5-4, they couldn't get anyone to score.  McNeil went the distance and took the loss, dropping his record to 1-4.  McNeil gave up a run on four hits.  Chase Fiddler went 2 for 3 at the plate while Gott went 2 for 2.  Walker went 1 for 4.

The Indians are 19-11 overall and will host Shawnee Mission, Kansas for a double header Friday night at 6 o'clock.  You can hear the games on KWON 1400 AM and 93.3 FM.
