The Bartlesville Doenges Ford Indians were back on the baseball field for the first time in eight days as they traveled to Ft. Smith on Monday to take on the Sportsmen.  It was Ft. Smith getting two wins as they swept Bartlesville 9-0 and 9-8.

The Indians managed two hits in the first game.  Jacob Ruiz and Braden Beasley got a hit each in the first inning.  After that it was all Ft. Smith as they run ruled the Indians after five innings.  Logan McNeil suffered his first loss on the mound this year dropping to 4-1 overall.  McNeil gave up nine runs on 10 hits.

Things were better in the second game as the bats got better for Bartlesville.  Zac Boyes led the hitting attack with a solo homerun in the top of the first to give the Indians an early 1-0 lead.  Ft. Smith came back and led 5-1 before the Indians would make a comeback of their own.  The game was tied at seven when Ft. Smith would score two runs in the bottom of the fourth and that was the difference of the game.  Braden Beasley came in relief of starter Gensen Streets in the fourth and took the loss.  In four innings of work, Beasley gave up two runs on two hits.  Beasley falls to 0-2 on the mound this season.  At the plate, Boyes went 3 for 4 with a homerun, a triple, and four RBI's. Logan McNeil went 2 for 4 with two doubles and 2 RBI's.  Brady Kokojan got a double in game two.

The Indians are now 17-14 on the year.  Bartlesville will play a four game series at Ada starting on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock and Friday at Noon.  On Sunday, the Indians will play at Connors State as they will take on Three Rivers at Noon and play Clarksville at 2 o'clock.
