Oklahoma Wesleyan’s athletic department has won an awful lot of awards the past year, and they keep on coming.

On Wednesday, former OKWU sports information director Nick Morris was named the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference SID of the year.

Morris will be officially recognized at the KCAC Sport Management Conference, held on August 7th at Bethany College in Kansas.

Morris had spent four years as the Sports Information Director and Associate Athletics Director at Oklahoma Wesleyan, covering all 17 sports. Morris was also responsible for all areas of game and event management, marketing, fan experience, fundraising and sponsorships. As part of his SID and Associate AD duties, Morris trained, scheduled, and supervised over 20 student workers.

He was also in charge of the OKWU social media accounts.

Morris is now the assistant athletic director at Friends University in Wichita, which is also in the KCAC.
