Former Lady Cougar Making Impact at JUCO Level
Former Oklahoma Union softball star Morgen Bellar is making an impact in her first season playing junior college ball at Eastern Oklahoma State. Bellar has been a regular in the Mountaineers infield as she has played in 26 of 32 games so far for EOC.
Bellar has swung the bat well so far this season with 16 total hits—five of which have been home runs. Bellar launched two over the fence in a March 8 contest against National Park College.
The former Lady Cougar battled injuries throughout her playing career. Bellar told KRIG sports last summer that she wasn’t always sure that college ball would be in the cards.
Eastern is currently 15-17 in Bellar’s first year on campus. Bellar was a major part of Oklahoma Union’s softball success in previous years. She was a key cog on the 2018 squad that made a 2A state tournament appearance.
