Former Bullpup vs. Former Bruin
We had two former high school baseball players from our area pitch in the same NCAA Division one game on Tuesday afternoon.
Former Bartlesville Bruin AJ Archambo and former Caney Valley Bullpup Jace Kaminska both made their first appearances of the year on the mound this spring as Wichita State knocked off Oral Roberts in Tulsa 3-0.
Archambo is coming off an arm injury that occurred just before the COVID shutdown last spring. He tossed a 1-2-3 sixth for ORU against the Shockers - inducing two flyouts and a swinging strikeout.
Meanwhile Kaminska, a true freshman, made his first college appearance for Wichita State. He threw a scoreless 1.1 innings, giving up two hits, three walks and two strikeouts across the seventh and eighth innings against the Golden Eagles
