It was a nice day to be a Bruin in Tulsa on Wednesday, as a couple of former Bruins made waves at the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State games.

Hailey Tucker, who graduated in the spring, scored 11 points in the girl's basketball All-State game. That put her second on the East Team in scoring. The West topped the East 88-59. Tucker will play collegiately at Southwestern Oklahoma State University this upcoming season.

SWOSU is a part of the Great American Conference, which holds its basketball tournament in Bartlesville next year.

Meanwhile, former Bruin football coach Mickey Ripley was honored. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame earlier this week.

Ripley coached football in Bartlesville from 1979-1993.
