Final Day of Bruin Baseball Tryouts

Day No. 2 of the Bartlesville High baseball team’s tryouts begin on Tuesday morning, as the Bruins had the upperclassmen at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium on Monday.

The younger guys, freshmen and sophomores will try out on Tuesday. Cody Price ran his first workout as Bartlesville’s head coach yesterday. Price says that this week’s tryouts would be a good time to have a first impression with many of the BHS baseball players such as Jakob Hall, Bradee Rigdon, Alan Covarrubias and others, as Price just moved into town this month.

After the conclusion of the tryouts, Price mentioned the Bruins going through strength and conditioning during a specific hour of school dedicated to baseball guys.

Practice can begin in the winter on the diamond. Price also mentioned the possibility of turf at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium aiding in the early practice. The turf is a part of the BPS bond package that is up for a vote next week.
