Emerging Lady Ironmen Find Groove
The Nowata Lady Ironmen could be one of the best emerging teams in area girls’ basketball this year. New head coach Amanda Henderson has sparked the young squads to wins in two of its last three ballgames. Nowata may just be 2-4 overall but a nice core is slowly being built.
The Lady Ironmen scrapped past Chelsea to win a game in the Ty Hewitt tournament. Nowata also blasted Barnsdall, 47-20 on Tuesday night. Henderson says she is excited at how the team is coming together.
Nowata has an opportunity to match last year’s win total before winter break as ittakes on Copan Friday at 6:30 p.m.
