The Oklahoma Wesleyan men’s basketball team plays a game with major implications on Saturday evening in Wichita. The No. 16 Eagles will look to avenge a tough loss against Friends University.

The Falcons erased a double-digit deficit to beat OKWU at home, 72-71 on December 11. This game will mean more as the Eagles (19-6, 15-4) are currently tied with Ottawa for first place in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference standings.

Lense Ramey was second semester addition to the roster. In 11 games so far, Ramey is shooting 55% from three-point range. Eagles head coach Donnie Bostwick says Ramey was a welcome addition to the roster.

The Lady Eagles have several talented scorers as well. Junior Danae Goodwin is averaging 14 points per game over her last three contests. At that rate it is possible that Goodwin could eclipse 1,000 career points by the end of the season. Goodwin currently has 913 careers points with five games left in the regular season.

The Lady Eagles are 13-11 on the season. They defeated Friends 72-55 the first time around. The doubleheader will tip off at 5 p.m. Radio coverage can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM.
