With the resignation of Matt Parker Oklahoma Wesleyan tabbed a former coach to lead its highly-successful baseball program. The Eagles hired Kirk Kelley who was previously the Eagles head coach in 2011 and 2012.

Kelley has made several coaching stops over his coaching career including Central Arkansas, Lyon College, the Baltimore Orioles organization as a scout and most recently Eastern Oklahoma State, where Parker is headed.

Kelley talks about what brought him back to Bartlesville.

Kelley made a strong impact on the field at OKWU in his two previous years. The team won the NCCAA national championship in 2011 and we was named National Coach of the Year.

OKWU athletic director Mark Molder is excited to see the impression coach Kelley will make on the field, but off it as well.

The Eagles went 53-8 this past season and lost in the regional finals of the Upland, Indiana Bracket.
