The Dewey Bulldoggers snapped a five-game losing streak with a convincing victory over Chelsea on Tuesday night, 58-35. The Doggers took it to Dragons from the opening tip to earn their first road victory of the season.

Dewey got off to an excellent on the back of senior Hayden Thornton. The do-everything man for the Doggers had 11 first quarter points including a stretch of three consecutive makes from beyond the arc.

Thornton would finish with a game-high 21 points. Colby Henley and Caden Baughn both tallied double-figures for the second consecutive night as well.

Dewey led 22-6 after one quarter. The Doggers had a bout with foul trouble in the second period. Chelsea outscored several Dewey backups 11-8 in the second quarter to pull it to 30-17 at the break. However, the Doggers return to form in the second half and never put the outcome in doubt.

Dewey is now 2-6 on the season. The Doggers have a week before hosting Sperry on January 14.
