Doggers Retooling Running Game in Offseason

The offseason continues for the Dewey Bulldoggers football team who continue to prepare themselves for the fall. The Doggers wrapped up their annual team camp at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M last week where they competed against 13 other teams including Rejoice Christian, Stroud and Blackwell among other teams.

Dewey’s running game is going to look different in 2018 and last week was a great chance to implement some new ideas. Senior Cole Brown will be the starting tailback in the fall and he thrived at the camp being named team MVP. Doggers head coach Tyler Caid is excited by what Brown brings to the table.

Brown will also be a factor as a starting linebacker for third consecutive year.

Dewey will continue with its offseason pride workout program throughout the summer. The Doggers also host a passing league with Barnsdall, Pawhuska and Caney Valley every Tuesday in the month of June.

We’ll have more on the Doggers and other area teams as the offseason continues.
