Doggers Preparing for 2018 Season

We’re less than a month away from the start of the 2018 football season across the state of Oklahoma. Fewer teams will be playing zero week contests across the area, though the Dewey Bulldoggers will be playing its first game in the early window on August 24 with a trip to Adair.

The Doggers are wrapping their summer weightlifting program in the next two weeks before practices begin on August 6. Dewey will have 11 seniors on the club after losing 16 last year. Head coach Tyler Caid is excited about what this year’s group brings to the table.

Dewey is left with some holes after losing so many seniors last year, most notably at Quarterback with Blake Timmons and 1,000-yard rusher Faylon Kight no longer on roster.

Chase Revard will start at quarterback this year after making one start in 2017. Cole Brown will be a major factor in the backfield as well.

We’ll have much more on the Doggers and other area teams as the season approaches.
