Doggers Leaning on New Quarterback

The Bulldoggers will be relying on senior Quarterback Chase Revard to play a major role offensively as well as being one of the team leaders. Revard started one game last season, a thrilling win 29-26 win over Daniel Webster.

Revard completed a 55-yard touchdown pass to Caston Frye to put the Doggers ahead. Revard totaled 162 passing yards in his only career start, however, that was the highest passing yardage total in the 2017 season.

Dewey head coach Tyler Caid says he’s seen Revard improve astronomically from the end of last year to now.

Per state rules the Doggers will practice with helmets only for the next three days before they can ramp things up with full contact.

Dewey will get started earlier than most area teams with a scrimmage in Miami on August 17. The Doggers will then look to avenge a season-opening loss from last season as they open the season at Adair on August 24.
