Doggers Host Adair for Homecoming Game
The Dewey Bulldoggers take on Adair on Friday night for the homecoming game. Dewey is looking for its first win in 2021 and its first against Adair in the last six tries. Friday also marks the first game of 2A-8 district play. The Doggers finished seventh in their district last year.
Three different Dewey players have intercepted a pass through three games this season. In total, Dewey has forced seven turnovers on the season. Head coach Trent Turner talks about the team’s ability to force giveaways.
The Warriors average 32 points per game. Quarterback Nate Radcliff is three-year starter who has notched 14 total touchdowns in his previous three starts against the Doggers. Turner says Dewey’s defense will need to limit big plays.
Dewey is on 0-3 on the season. Adair is 1-2 with a 48-0 win over Locust Grove las week following back-to-back losses against Stigler and Jay to start the season. Coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. on KRIG 104.9 FM.
