Doggers Hoping for Improvement in New Year

Hopefully the New Year will treat the Dewey Bulldoggers basketball team better. For the second consecutive season Dewey has won just a single game prior to winter break. This season it was a nail-biting win over Gravette, Arkansas in the opening round of the Adair tournament.

The Doggers will have a few days to get back in their routine before they start back up against Pawhuska on January 6. Dewey head coach Lance Knight is hoping for an improved second semester.

The Doggers have gotten nice contributions from their season core so far. However, Dewey has struggled to score the basketball consistently so far. The Doggers have yet to surpass 60 points in any contest so far this season. Dewey holds a 1-5 record.
