Doggers Hard at work on Practice Field
The Dewey Bulldoggers are among several area teams that are hitting the practice field for the first time this week. Dewey is working under first year head coach Ryan Richardson who served as an assistant on last year’s team.
The Bulldoggers face a lofty challenge as they move to Class 3A. Dewey is in district 4 which feature the likes of Holland Hall, Cascia Hall and Verdigris among other tough opponents. Coach Richardson thinks the challenging schedule will benefit the team.
The Doggers have plenty of returning talent of both sides of the ball. Dewey will be transitioning to a 3-4 defense which will feature a talented returning core linebackers. The Doggers open up the season on August 26 with a road trip to Miami.
