The Dewey Bulldoggers played a great first half but ran out of steam in the second. Dewey falls to 0-4 on the season after losing to Adair 44-20.

The Doggers called on junior Trenton Muninger to make his first career start at quarterback and he delivered what the offense needed early on. Muninger found himself on the receiving end of a double pass play.

The Warriors would respond with a score to go up 14-8. Dewey would lean on Muninger once again. He would run for all 65 yards on the drive capped off with a 12-yard touchdown run to tie the game.

Adair would have a quick answer once again. Dewey would march down the field methodically to set up a play from the one-yard line. Senior quarterback Tate Lewis would take it in with less than a minute left in the half.

Adair would score another touchdown with no time on the clock to take a 28-20 lead to halftime. Dewey ran out of gas in the second half and couldn’t put any points on the board.

Muninger would be named the Patriot Auto Player of the Game. He tallied 94 yards on 26 rushes, completed 14-20 passes for 131 yards and tacked on the receiving touchdown.

Dewey will take on Sperry next week after falling in the district opener.
