A late comeback attempt fell short for Dewey in a Thursday night battle against Pawhuska. The Huskies win their sixth straight game, 67-51.

The Doggers trailed by 19 points early on the second half, but would cut the lead down to six points midway through the fourth quarter. However, Pawhuska executed better down the stretch to earn the win.

Hayden Thornton scored just seven first-half points for Dewey. However, the junior kicked it into gear in the second half to finish with 21 points. This bucket for Thornton cut the Huskies lead to six.

Evan Frye was key in the fourth quarter for the Huskies as he scored eight points. Easton Kirk was the top-scorer for the Huskies with 22 points on the night.

The Doggers loss drops them to 3-9 on the year. Pawhuska’s win puts it at 10-6. Dewey has no time to rest before a Friday night battle at No. 6 Oklahoma Union. Radio coverage can be heard on KRIG 104.9 FM starting at 7:50 p.m.
